DLA  is looking for 14,189 protective face shields.  Recent procurement history shows that Solid Parts Corporation sold this shield to the military for $4.89 in quantity of 3,000.  It has been purchased through GSA in small quantities for $6.54ea.  Standard Welding, Kampi Components and Linmarr Associates have also supplied the mask.

Technical data is available.  The masks are to comply with industry standards ISEA Z87.1 and ANSI Z87.1.

The Defense Logistics Agency would like to see more competition on this engine air intake duct.  The agency makes this request when there are few suppliers for an item that should be competitively bid.  The only other supplier of this Northrop Grumman part (123P11520-1) is Senior Operations, Inc in Burbank, CA.  As a result, they are making a sample available for companies to borrow or purchase so it can be reverse engineered.

The part last sold for $14,274 in quantity of 21 from Northrop Grumman.  DLA calculates estimated annual purchases of $276,852, although their forecast data indicates one unit per month through September 2023.

This aluminum duct is used in the E2C / C2A aircraft.

DLA Aviation has announced that they would like more competition on this cable assembly made by Harris Corporation.  Interested vendors can acquire a sample to reverse engineer, which can be either purchased or borrowed from DLA.  The original Harris part number is V3-10356.

The cable is used in the AN/SRC-55 flight deck helmet headset.

DLA has an estimated unit price of $660, with recent procurement history showing a price of $421 in quantity of 500. Only one other company, Adirondack Electronics has supplied this cable to the military.

DLA Aviation is looking for more competition on some parts they they feel are overpriced due to a lack of competition.  This tie rod end is used on the UH-60 Helicopter.  In order to make it easier for companies to compete, DLA keeps samples on hand for contractors to borrow or buy.  In addition to technical drawings, a company can request a sample of the part to reverse engineer.

The only supplier on this $1,562 bearing is Lord Corporation in Cary, NC.   DLA estimates annual demand at 1,465 units totaling $2,511,303 in annual business. Contractors are encouraged to consider making this part for the U.S. Military.
