NAVSUP WSS looking for competition on this cap screw; $111,980

NAVSUP Weapon System Support has posted a request for proposals (RFP) announcing intent to purchase 1,640 hex head cap screws at an estimated contract value of $111,980.  This 5/16-18 x 1″ cap screw is made from Silicon Bronze, likely explaining why it is currently sole source.  The current supplier is Teco-Westinghouse Company.
