DLA Aviation Commodities Division has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) with the intent to issue an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for splicing kits. The resulting contract will have one base year and four option years. Under its authority, DLA can place periodic delivery orders for up to five years.
The kit, NSN 5940-01-101-0428 has a manufacturer’s part number of D-436-0133. It is a commercial off-the-shelf item. The kit was last supplied to the military by Management Solutions for $23.50 each in quantity of 117. They have won all DLA contracts on this item dating back to 2016. Other suppliers include Avnet and Tyco Electronics.
The solicitation is set-aside for small business. All proposals are due by November 15, 2020.
