DLA Aviation is planning to issue an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for window lighting fixture covers. These 28″ x 7″ 40 watt fixtures are made of translucent acrylic. This contract will have two base years and three option years. Periodic delivery orders will be made against this contract for up to five years.
The fixture, NSN 6210-01-169-5997 was most recently supplied by L.C. Doane Company, who has been the only supplier since 2006. The unit price was $43.38 in quantity of 7,500. DLA estimates annual demand at 7,500 units meaning that if all five years of the contract are executed it could be worth $1,626,750. The contract will have a guaranteed minimum of 3,700 units each year.
