This tape, NSN 5970-00-177-1627 is a 1.5 inch wide 36 foot roll, black with blue guidelines. It is considered a Commercial Off-The-Shelf item (COTS). It was last supplied to the military by Valley Industries for $14.79 each in quantity of 1,547.
DLA estimates annual demand at 3,000 rolls, but wants quantity breakdowns for 1,700 to 3,500 per year. At estimated demand, if all five years of the contract are executed it could be worth $221,850.
