$61,000 military solicitation for 6 volt batteries

The Defense Logistics Agency is planning to issue a long-term Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for six volt lead-acid, wet charge batteries. The contract will have one base year and two optional years against which the military will be able to submit delivery orders.

The battery, NSN 6140-01-457-4255 was last sold to the defense department for $149.93 each in quantity of 6. It is a commercial off-the-shelf item with part numbers GC-110 and E-3600.  The most recent vendor was Battery Service, Inc.

DLA Estimates annual demand at 138 each year, but has asked for pricing in annual quantities up to 207. At the estimated demand and past procurement history pricing, this contract could be worth $61,686 if all three years are executed.

All offers are due by February 25, 2021.  This solicitation has been set-aside for small business.
