There is no set quantity on the order, but DLA estimates that they will purchase 148 units each year for a total of 740 headrests. The contract will last for five years against which DLA will submit periodic delivery orders.
These headrests were last sold by Sonfarrel, Inc for $188 each in quantity of 13. A first article test item is required for the government to inspect the item before taking delivery on the remaining quantity. Sonfarrel sold the first article test item for $1,500. Other suppliers include Aces Enterprises and AGH Industries. Based on past procurement history pricing, we estimate the value of this contract at $139,120. The OEM is Saffran Group / Mag Aerospace.
