DLA Troop Support is soliciting drip torches for forest fire control.  This torch, NSN 4210-01-558-9951 has a manufacturer’s part number of 12000. It is used to ignite fires in vegetation with a diesel/gasoline mixture.  It has an aluminum tank and handle assembly.  The torch complies with specification 5100-614.

The contract order quantity is 6,750.  It was last sold to the military by Waterax Corporation for $116.57 in quantity of 2,250. Other suppliers include KCR Manufacturing, Cascade Fire, and L.N. Curtis.  Cascade Fire has also been selling these torches via their GSA contract GS-07F-0275Y.

Based on past procurement history pricing, we estimate the value of this contract at $783,000.  All offers are due by November 23, 2021.

DLA Aviation is planning to issue a long term Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for solenoids and quick-disconnect couplings used on the F-16 aircraft.  For more than 10 years, United Valve has supplied these items exclusively.  Prior to that, Lockheed Martin was the supplier.  The contract has three base years and two option years for a maximum duration of five years.

The coupling half, NSN 4730-01-054-2733 was last sold for $950.54 in quantity of 29.  The continuous duty tubular solenoid, NSN 5945-00-679-4751 was sold for $1,365.13 in quantity of 32.  It has a 1.75 linear pound pull stroke and uses 150 milliamps .  There is no set quantity on this contract, but DLA has provided annual demand estimates: 160 couplings and 125 solenoids each year.
