It includes the upper and lower skin, bulkhead closure, joint ring, doubler, frame, stops and angles. Technical data is available on this item so new companies can compete. The contract will span five years with an estimated annual demand of 28 units.
The assembly was last sold to the military by GSE Dynamics for $19,285 each in quantity of 25. Other suppliers include Cobham Mission Systems, and HD Aero Support. The price has risen from $7,607 in 2008. Based on past procurement history pricing, we estimate the value of this contract at $2.6 million over five years.
Vendors will have 311 days from award to submit the first article test items, and 623 days to complete the order.
