DLA Land and Maritime has issued a solicitation for long-term supply of 24 Volt lead-acid batteries. This 24V, 11AH battery, NSN 6140-01-545-1006 is used to start aircraft turbines. The solicitation is for a simplified indefinite delivery contract (SIDC) against which DLA will issue periodic delivery orders. The contract will have one base year and two option years.
The most recent supplier was Southern Cross Aviation which sold this battery for $2,669 ea in quantity of 28. There is no set quantity on this solicitation but DLA estimates that they will purchase 40 batteries each year. Based on past procurement history pricing we estimate the value of this contract at $320,280 over three years.
All offers are due by March 28, 2022.
