DLA Aviation is planning to issue a long-term Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for hardware used in various aerospace systems.  This solicitation covers fifteen National Stock Numbers and will last for up to five years. DLA will issue periodic delivery orders against the contract.

DLA Land and Maritime in Warren Michigan has issued a pre-solicitation for feeder assemblies used in the 25MM M242 Bushmaster.  A technical data package is available for this feeder assembly, NSN 1005-01-461-5038.  It has a Northrop Grumman part number of 465-4100-9.  The solicitation will be issued in about two weeks with the resulting contract lasting for five years.

The only company to supply these to the military over the past twenty years was Alliant Techsystems which sold this item for $26,569 each in 2003.  The last sale was in 2006, but pricing was not released by the government.

There is no set quantity on this Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) but the government guarantees a minimum of 24 units each year with a maximum quantity of 646 over five years. They did not announce an estimated annual demand but often the maximum quantity in these contracts is also the ADQ.

DLA Aviation has issued a solicitation which will result in an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for antenna fairing used on the B-52 aircraft.  This component, NSN 1560-01-327-3612 is used to protect the antenna while reducing drag.  The contract will last for five years with a total estimated quantity of 100 units over the contract term.

The last company to supply these was Jales Industries which sold them for $5,652 in quantity of 4 units.  DLA estimates annual demand at 20 units.  Based on past procurement history we estimate the contract value at $565,200.

DLA Aviation has announced that they would like to see more competition on this exhaust system, NSN 1560-01-233-8332 used on the UH-60 Helicopter.  The pipe measures 26.04 inches in length with 19.20 inches of outside diameter.  It is part of the infrared suppressor system.

The only supplier has been General Electric, which sold these for $40,681 each.  DLA has determined that it could see better pricing if more companies compete.  The government estimates that they will purchase 95 of these each year at a total acquisition cost of $5.7 Million. Technical Documentation and drawings are available so new competitors can potentially supply this item.

DLA is so interested in seeing competition that they are making samples available for contractors to reverse-engineer. There is no current solicitation for this item, but companies can acquire technical data to prepare for upcoming procurement.  The last purchase of these exhaust pipes was in 2018.

DLA Land and Maritime has issued a solicitation for 1.5 volt alkaline batteries.  This Indefinite delivery contract has one base year and quantity breakdowns from 337 to 2019.

The battery, NSN 6135-01-490-4422 is manufactured by Mathews Associates with a part number of MAI-150718, although any company that can produce a similar battery can compete. They were last sold to the military by JDM Security for $100 in quantity of 352.  Other suppliers include Jag Componenets, Blue Cord Logistic, AND Statz Corporation.

There is no set quantity on this multiple delivery order contract but DLA estimates that they will purchase 1,352 of these batteries in a year. Vendors have 180 days from delivery order to ship the goods.  Based on past procurement history pricing we estimate the value of this contract at $136,200.
