A technical data package is available for this feeder assembly, NSN 1005-01-461-5038. It has a Northrop Grumman part number of 465-4100-9. The solicitation will be issued in about two weeks with the resulting contract lasting for five years.
The only company to supply these to the military over the past twenty years was Alliant Techsystems which sold this item for $26,569 each in 2003. The last sale was in 2006, but pricing was not released by the government.
There is no set quantity on this Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) but the government guarantees a minimum of 24 units each year with a maximum quantity of 646 over five years. They did not announce an estimated annual demand but often the maximum quantity in these contracts is also the ADQ.
