DLA Troop Support will be issuing a three year contract for the supply of First Strike Rations (MREs).  These kits, NSN 8970-01-584-8759 will include 9 menus, 9 meals per case.  Periodic delivery orders will be submitted against this contract over the term.  Vendors have 150 days from each order to deliver the goods.

They were last supplied to the military by So-Pak Co. for $123.22 in quantity of 25,000.  Other suppliers include KGL Food Service and Anham FZCO.  The government estimates that they will purchase 30,000 ration kits each year.  The contract has a minimum of 30,000 and a maximum of 180,000 units over the three years.

Based on past procurement history pricing we estimate the value of this contract at $11 Million.  It has been set-aside for small businesses with less that 1,240 employees.

DLA Troop Support has issued a solicitation which will result in two contracts for multi-year supply of US Navy Working Parka.  The contract will have one base year and three option years for a maximum duration of four years against which periodic delivery orders will be submitted. This working parka, NSN 8415-01-573-4686 is woodland camouflage with sizes ranging from X-Small-XX-short to XX Large XXX-long.  It is waterproof, moisture-vapor permeable with a stowed hood and visor.

These were most recently sold to the military in 2012.  They were sold for $174 in quantity of 675 by Tennessee Apparel Corp. There is no set quantity in the solicitation but DLA estimates that they will purchase 140,016 Parka over the contract term.  Based on procurement history pricing we estimate the value of this contract at $24,362,784. This would be split between the two vendors.

Both lots are set-aside for small businesses. All offers are due by June 21, 2022.

Tinker Air Force Base is planning to issue a three year contract for the supply of fuel injectors used in the T-38 aircraft.  The T-38 is a twin-engine, high-altitude, supersonic jet trainer used in a variety of roles because of its design, economy of operations, ease of maintenance, high performance and exceptional safety record.

These fuel injection nozzles, NSN 2915-00-106-5464 are used on the J85 GE-5 Turbojet Engine.  There are two line items in the solicitation, the first for suppliers that can accept a three year IDQ with quantities of up to 10,739 over the term.  If vendors are unable to meet that quantity, they can submit an offer on line item 0002 which is a firm, fixed quantity with a minimum of 354 and maximum of 2,123.  DLA’s Best Estimate Quantity (BEQ) for the three year term is 7,159.

The last company to supply these was Delavan, Inc which was acquired by R.W. Beckett in 2021.  The nozzles were sold to DLA for $2,100 each in quantity of 1,880. Based on past procurement history pricing we estimate the value of this contract at approximately $15 Million over three years.
