DLA Aviation has issued a solicitation which will result in a five year contract to supply electrical leads, NSN 6150-01-317-6410. These copper core leads are 11″ x 0.73″ including lug terminals with mounting holes on both ends.  They comply with MIL-STD-130N(1) . Technical data is available for download.

The last company to supply these to the military was Phillip cable manufacturing which sold them for $16.75 each in quantity of 759.  Other suppliers include SSI Technology, A.F. Technology, Innodyne Engineering and Spartan Systems.

The government estimates that they will purchase 750 leads each year over the five year contract.  Based on past procurement history pricing we estimate the value of this contract at $60,000.

All offers are due by December 22, 2022.

DLA Aviation has issued a solicitation for supply of cable assemblies used in the strut gearbox of the KC-135 aircraft.  There is technical data available on this cable NSN 2995-01-146-4956.   The resulting contract will last for five years with an estimated total quantity of 60 units.

The last company to supply these to the military was Brown Helicopter which sold the cable for $4,964 each in quantity of 18.  Four years ago these cables were selling for $1,000 each. Other suppliers include Lee Air Company, Pinnacle Research Aviation, and Alamo Aircraft.

Based on past procurement history we estimate the value of this contract at $300,000 over five years.  All offers are due by 12/21/2022.

DLA Aviation has issued a solicitation which will result in a five year contract for supply of compressor vane retainers used on the F414-GE-400 engine. This retainer, NSN 2840-01-443-5894 is used to hold the compressor vane in place in this engine that produces 22,000 lb of thrust. The engine is used in the F/A-18E Super Hornet. Periodic delivery orders will be placed against this contract as needed.

This item was last sold to the military by L’anse Manufacturing & Technology for $233.39 each in quantity of 288.  DLA estimates that they will purchase 1,456 retainers each year over the five year contract.  Based on past procurement history pricing we estimate the value of this contract at $1.6 Million.

Technical data is available on this item so new companies can compete. The awardee has 150 days from each order to deliver the goods.
