This retainer, NSN 2840-01-443-5894 is used to hold the compressor vane in place in this engine that produces 22,000 lb of thrust. The engine is used in the F/A-18E Super Hornet. Periodic delivery orders will be placed against this contract as needed.
This item was last sold to the military by L’anse Manufacturing & Technology for $233.39 each in quantity of 288. DLA estimates that they will purchase 1,456 retainers each year over the five year contract. Based on past procurement history pricing we estimate the value of this contract at $1.6 Million.
