DLA Land and Maritime has issued a solicitation which will result in a long-term contract for HMMWV parts kits, NSN 2590-01-495-6900. This kit contains 26 parts including gaskets, bolts, lock washers, and a cotter pin.  The contract will have one base year and four option years.

This kit was last sold to the military by U.S. Hardware, Inc. for $96.14 each in quantity of 4,234.  The solicitation doesn’t call out a specific quantity but DLA estimates that they will purchase 9,790 kits each year.  Based on past procurement history pricing we estimate the value of this contract at $4.7 Million. The contract will allow the government to order more than the anticipated quantity.  It has a maximum contract value of $7.2 million over five years.

The most recent company to supply these to the military was Kampi Components, which sold them in single unit quantities for $626.29. There is no set quantity in the solicitation but DLA estimates they will purchase 210 batteries each year.  Suppliers have 133 days from each delivery order to deliver the goods.
