DLA Aviation has announced that they would like to see more competition on this exhaust system, NSN 1560-01-233-8332 used on the UH-60 Helicopter.  The pipe measures 26.04 inches in length with 19.20 inches of outside diameter.  It is part of the infrared suppressor system.

The only supplier has been General Electric, which sold these for $40,681 each.  DLA has determined that it could see better pricing if more companies compete.  The government estimates that they will purchase 95 of these each year at a total acquisition cost of $5.7 Million. DLA is so interested in seeing competition that they are making samples available for contractors to reverse-engineer. The US Airforce has issued a sources sought solicitation seeking companies that can produce fuel cells for the KC-135R aircraft.  Only one company has produced these for the military over the last 14 years, with the last purchase in 2015.  The Airforce has issued this solicitation as market research to ascertain potential small business participation.  Any small businesses that can produce this item should consider responding to the solicitation.
