The Air Education and Training Command (AETC) is headquartered\nin Texas at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, it\u2019s the second oldest major\ncommand in the Air Force. The mission of\nthe AETC is to recruit, train and educate Airmen. The entire AETC command as of October 2018\nconsists of about 61,000 people including contractors. AETC flies approximately 1,300 aircraft in\nseveral categories such as Jet trainers (T-38 Talon), Fighters (F-16 Falcon) and\nTankers (KC-135 Stratotanker) to name a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Operations include Air Force recruiting, Numbered air\nforces and Air University. The command currently\noperates 12 major installations, supports tenant units and 16 active-duty and\nseven Reserve wings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
