DLA Aviation is looking for more companies to compete for supply of this polypropylene cargo net.\u00a0 It includes four 10 foot ropes installed on quick-tie tie-downs.<\/p>\n

Currently, there is only one supplier, Networks Enterprises, Inc.\u00a0 The manufacturer’s part number is\u00a0C42-8080-4AQESS. It was last supplied for $168.88 in quantity of 221.<\/p>\n

The military anticipates purchasing 1,132 of these nets each year at an estimated cost of\u00a0$262,182.\u00a0 This is based on DLA’s single unit cost of $232 each.<\/p>\n

The military is so interested in finding additional suppliers for this item that they are making samples available to be reverse engineered.\u00a0 Technical drawings are also available.<\/p>\n
