DLA Aviation Commodities Division is planning to issue an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) to a company for supply of black electrical tape. This tape has a wide range of uses, but is used specifically on the Patriot Guided Missile system. The contract will have two base years and three option years for a total of up to five years.\u00a0 DLA will issue periodic delivery orders against this contract instead of having to re-solicit every time they need more tape.<\/p>\n

This tape, NSN 5970-00-177-1627<\/a> is a 1.5 inch wide 36 foot roll, black with blue guidelines.\u00a0 It is considered a Commercial Off-The-Shelf item (COTS).\u00a0 It was last supplied to the military by Valley Industries for $14.79 each in quantity of 1,547.<\/p>\n

DLA estimates annual demand at 3,000 rolls, but wants quantity breakdowns for 1,700 to 3,500 per year. At estimated demand, if all five years of the contract are executed it could be worth $221,850.<\/p>\n
