DLA Aviation is planning to issue an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for the supply of Zincs.\u00a0 This contract will have one base year and five option years for a total of six years. These Zinc Anodes are used on almost every ship in the Navy to sacrificially attract corrosion from submerged metal parts.\u00a0\u00a0 A full description can be found in the Military Specification MIL-DTL-18001<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Two of the stock numbers have been exclusively supplied by Belmont Metal in Brooklyn, NY, and Kampi Components has the most recent contract for 5342-00-702-1371. Prior to that, Belmont Metal has been the only source since 2012.<\/p>\n

Based on procurement history pricing, we estimate this contract could be worth $573,859 if all six years are executed.\u00a0 It has been set-aside for small businesses only.<\/p>\n
