DLA Land and Maritime is going to issue a long-term Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for Powerstar 12 volt batteries. These batteries, NSN 6140-01-576-4249<\/a> have a manufacturer’s part number of PSRBC7H.\u00a0 They’re used to power the NAVSSI Navigation Sensor System. This contract has three base years and two optional years for a maximum duration of five years.<\/p>\n

This battery is manufactured by Powersys, Inc, but any compatible battery could be approved by the government. It is a high temperature 12 volt 17 amp battery with an 8 year shelf life.\u00a0 It was recently sold to the military for $590.37 in quantity of 6.\u00a0 There is no set quantity on the solicitation, but DLA estimates annual demand at 323 units. They are requesting price breakdowns from 1-81, 82-162, 163-123 and 324-485.\u00a0 This quantity will not be ordered all at once, but placed through a series of delivery orders.<\/p>\n

If all five years of the contract are executed as likely, we estimate the contract value at $952,580.\u00a0 All responses to this RFP are due by June 28, 2021.<\/p>\n
