DLA Aviation Commodities Division is going to issue an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for supply of cobalt alloy eccentric pins. This contract will have one base year and four option years against which DLA will issue periodic delivery orders.<\/p>\n

This pin, NSN 5315-00-382-7755<\/a> has a 1\/4 ” dished hexagon head. Hardware manufacturers and machine shops are encouraged to submit a proposal to DLA.\u00a0 Technical documents are available from the military so companies could compete. The military describes this pin as:<\/p>\n

“A headed, cylindrically-shaped metal item having a shank and\/or shoulder offset from the geometric center of the head. If shouldered, a portion of the shank and\/or shoulder may be concentric with the head.”<\/p>\n

It was last supplied to the military by Slabe Machine for $35.74 each in quantity of 4,000. This current solicitation does not have a set quantity, but DLA estimates that they will buy 4,681 each year.\u00a0 If all five years of the contract are executed, it has an estimated value of $836,494.<\/p>\n

Because this is a critical safety item used on the F100-PW-200 engine used in the F-16, a source approval request must accompany the proposal.<\/p>\n

All offers are due by August 11, 2021.<\/p>\n
