DLA Aviation is planning to issue a long term Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for solenoids and quick-disconnect couplings used on the F-16 aircraft.\u00a0 For more than 10 years, United Valve has supplied these items exclusively.\u00a0 Prior to that, Lockheed Martin was the supplier.\u00a0 The contract has three base years and two option years for a maximum duration of five years.<\/p>\n

The coupling half, NSN\u00a04730-01-054-2733<\/a> was last sold for $950.54 in quantity of 29.\u00a0 The continuous duty tubular solenoid, NSN 5945-00-679-4751<\/a> was sold for $1,365.13 in quantity of 32.\u00a0 It has a 1.75 linear pound pull stroke and uses 150 milliamps .\u00a0 There is no set quantity on this contract, but DLA has provided annual demand estimates: 160 couplings and 125 solenoids each year.<\/p>\n

Based on past procurement history, we estimate the value of this contract at $1.6 Million over five years.\u00a0 All offers are due by November 25, 2021.<\/p>\n
