The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has issued a solicitation which will result in a three year contract for the supply of women’s and men’s running shoes.\u00a0 The government estimates that they will purchase approximately 639,955 pairs of shoes over the contract term.<\/p>\n

Because the quantity is so large, DOD wants to ensure supply so the solicitation is broken into two lots.\u00a0 Each lot will be awarded with separate contracts.\u00a0 Lot 0001 will include 60% of the total quantity, while lot 0002 includes the remaining 40%.<\/p>\n

The recent prices above were for smaller quantities so I am sure quantity discounts will apply.\u00a0 Our rough estimate for this contract is $50 Million total for both lots.<\/p>\n
