DLA Aviation has announced that they would like to see more competition for this oil pressure gauge used on the C-130 aircraft.\u00a0 It measures both the oil pressure (marked with black “E”) and gear oil pressure (marked with black “G”).\u00a0 The operating temperature range is minus 65 degrees to 160 degrees Fahrenheit.\u00a0 The part was originally manufactured by JGB Enterprises under part number 10405N01P00.<\/p>\n

Currently the only supplier over the last six years is AAR Supply which sold 5 units for $25,295 each.\u00a0 Prior to that, Kampi Components was selling them for $16,216 in quantity of 6. Other suppliers include Linmarr Associates, JGB Enterprises,\u00a0 and Fulton Supply. The price has more than doubled over 10 years prompting DLA to consider looking for other suppliers.<\/p>\n

There is no current solicitation for this item but DLA ordered an average of 13 of these gauges each year.\u00a0 They estimate that they will spend $473,292 including contracting costs each year on this item.<\/p>\n
