DLA Aviation has issued a solicitation which will result in a five year contract for supply of compressor vane retainers used on the F414-GE-400 engine. This retainer, NSN 2840-01-443-5894<\/a> is used to hold the compressor vane in place in this engine that produces 22,000 lb of thrust. The engine is used in the F\/A-18E Super Hornet. Periodic delivery orders will be placed against this contract as needed.<\/p>\n

This item was last sold to the military by L’anse Manufacturing & Technology for $233.39 each in quantity of 288.\u00a0 DLA estimates that they will purchase 1,456 retainers each year over the five year contract.\u00a0 Based on past procurement history pricing we estimate the value of this contract at $1.6 Million.<\/p>\n

Technical data is available on this item so new companies can compete. The awardee has 150 days from each order to deliver the goods.<\/p>\n
