DLA Aviation has issued a solicitation which will result in a long-term contract for supply of polyethylene cases for M4 and M16 rifles.\u00a0 This case\u00a0holds 8 fully equipped M4s or M16s or any combination of the two. It includes a pressure relief valve and humidity indicator. Dimensions are 44.75″x34″x18.5.<\/p>\n

The last company to sell these to the U.S. Military was Defense Venture Holdings which sold them for $1,978 each in quantity of 90.\u00a0 They were also sold by Beam Distributor.\u00a0 A similar item is manufactured by Pelican Products.<\/p>\n

The contract to be issued will last for five years with an estimated annual demand of 121 cases.\u00a0 Based on past procurement history we estimate the value of this contract at $1.1 Million.<\/p>\n

All offers are due by February 7, 2024.<\/p>\n
